About it writes RIA Novosti.

“The LME is not proposing to ban the issuance of guarantees for new Russian metal… In addition, the feedback (of market participants – ed.) clearly showed that supply restrictions would be too difficult to implement… Thus, the LME will maintain the status quo with respect to Russian metal”, – the message says.

According to RIA Novosti, earlier LME reported that it had requested the opinion of market participants regarding the ban on the supply of metals from Russia.

“Market participants could choose whether to leave the situation as it is, impose restrictions on the volume of deliveries, or suspend the supply of Russian metals to the warehouses of the exchange,” the London Metal Exchange said.
