US Treasury extends licence for Russian energy financial transactions

The U.S. Treasury Department has extended its license for energy transactions with major Russian banks and the Central Bank of Russia until May 15, 2023. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the published license of the US agency

“All transactions prohibited by Executive Order 14024 involving one or more of the specified entities that are linked to the energy sector are permitted until 15 May 2023,” the document said.

Reportedly, the list of entities with which financial interactions are allowed includes Sberbank, VEB, Sovcombank, Otkritie Bank, VTB, Alfa Bank, as well as related entities and the Central Bank of Russia.
