Zaporizhzhya region says British-trained AFU fighters arrive to take over nuclear power plant

A member of the Zaporizhzhya regional GSA, Rogov, said that the units shelling the Zaporizhzhya NPP received over 500 shells for M777 and HIMARS.

Around 300 UK-trained fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently arrived in the city of Zaporizhzhya and are undergoing training for new attempts to capture the nuclear power plant. The statement was made by Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the “We are with Russia” movement and a member of the main council of the regional administration, on the air of the Zvezda TV channel.

“I have already said that there were more than 450 people of the SDF – special operations forces, the so-called elite of the AFU, who were training in the area of Volnohandreyevka. To them was added almost three hundred more recently arrived [fighters], and they are now training all the time to force the Dnieper, take a bridgehead and capture a large technogenic object. <…> In other words, we see at least 700 people trained specifically for the storming and seizure of the nuclear power plant,” he specified.

According to Rogov, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that are shelling the Zaporizhzhya NPP have recently received about 500 shells for American M777 howitzers and several hundred shells for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers (MLRS).

“The only way to secure the ZNPP is to move these devils as far west as possible so that their shells do not reach the nuclear plant,” he said. – But here you have to understand that just the other day they received confirmation that they have received about 500 guided missiles for the M777 and several hundred for the HIMARS. They are very accurate, these shells, so we are going to have a lot of fun there.
