Belgian senator Detex says EU needs to change policy on Ukraine and agree with Russia
Europe can no longer go along with the “warmongering” US and must reconsider its policy towards Russia and Ukraine, Belgian Senator Alain Détex told the French publication Causeur.
“In the interests of Europe and Europeans, we must abandon Zelensky’s hard line, agree with Russia to partition Ukraine and lift sanctions – this is the way to salvation. At this stage, a diplomatic solution is better than the escalation of the conflict encouraged by the White House,” the politician said.
The senator recalled the Panama Papers, which referred to Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy as an “offshore manipulator”. According to him, such a person should not be regarded as a worthy president, but “an American puppet obsessed with arrogance and dragging us into war”.
