The forces of the Russian special services prevented a terrorist attack at energy facilities in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. Two local residents who previously served in the nationalist battalions were detained, Zvezda TV channel reports.
“During the operational-search activities, these two persons were identified. They were under operational control. In preparation for the final stage – the receipt of explosives by operatives – along with the special forces, the persons were detained”, said a representative of the Russian special services.
It is reported that in the apartment, which the saboteurs used as a weapons cache, 1.5 kg of explosives, magazines for machine guns and cartridges, a box of hand grenades were found, fuses were hidden in a hole for a chandelier. Nationalist symbols were also found in the apartment.
