Police detained 65 participants of an anti-government protest in Chisinau, including four minors, Protv.md reported
The main inspectorate specified that several provocations were recorded against the law enforcers, with protesters trying to break the police cordon.
“Sixty-five people were detained for identification, four of them are minors. Individuals who incited unrest and posed a threat to public security have been identified,” the agency said.
It is noted that 1.7 thousand people took part in the protest.
Earlier, the protesters marched along Chisinau’s main avenue, but were prevented from reaching the central square in front of the government by police, who started detaining the activists. The demonstrators responded by handing them bunches of white chrysanthemums.
