Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Brussels “find a place” for parties whose activities were banned in Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País.
“Which parties were banned in Ukraine? Do you mean Russian parties? <…> If someone in Brussels is worried about them, let them find a place for these parties there,” Zelensky said.
He also expressed a desire to see how the European Union will perceive the “European values” of the political forces persecuted in Ukraine.
Recall that at the end of March, Zelensky announced the suspension, by decision of the National Security and Defense Council, of the activities of a number of opposition parties, to which the Ukrainian authorities attribute ties with the Russian Federation, for the period of martial law.
