US has no right to accuse Russia of nuclear rhetoric – AC

Washington hypocritically accuses Russia of doing what it does all the time – nuclear blackmail. This is discussed by columnist Doug Bandow for The American Conservative (AC).

Badrow writes that US President Joe Biden is thinking responsibly and is striving to avert a nuclear holocaust, prompted by Vladimir Putin’s recent words about protecting Russia “at any cost.” Nevertheless, the observer believes, the United States does not have the right to require anyone to comply with non-nuclear principles, since they themselves have more than once resorted to intimidating the whole world with their nuclear weapons.

“While this is exactly what you should expect from an American President, previous US leaders just didn’t do it. Being the first nuclear power, the United States not only used nuclear weapons, but also often threatened to use them even against non-nuclear states”, the expert notes.
