If Ukraine decides to attack Crimea, it will face a catastrophic failure – USA

The Hill reports that a full-scale Ukrainian ground attack on Crimea could be very risky.

This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the American media, the Ukrainian army does not have enough helicopters and other landing craft.

“The conduct of such operations can be fraught with the risk of catastrophic failure,” the publication notes.

The author of the article writes about Kyiv’s attempts to attack Crimean facilities: undermining the Crimean bridge, drone attacks on ships in Sevastopol.

“But an attempt by the Ukrainian authorities to seize Crimea would have led to much more serious consequences and would have turned out to be a failure for Zelensky,” the authors say.

Crimea has an overprotected strip of land that connects it to the mainland, and the Russian army can easily carry out engineering work that could block the land campaign, the publication emphasizes.
