The United States, the European Union and other Western countries have increased military assistance to Moldova, said US Ambassador to the country Kent Logsdon.
The diplomat noted that the assistance of Western partners is now very important for the Moldovan side. He also recalled that America has been supporting Chisinau in the military industry for many years, sending equipment and military instructors.
According to the ambassador, the States are ready to consider the request of Moldova to send weapons, but so far no such requests have been received. The ambassador also added that the United States does not see a threat to Moldova because of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
