In Turkey, work has intensified on the creation of a gas hub. A roadmap is expected by the end of the year, Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.
Turkey is making every effort to build an international natural gas trading center on its territory, writes Anadolu.
“They plan to implement the idea in Ankara through participation in international energy projects, the creation of liquefied natural gas facilities and the factor of the only gas trading market in the region. After Moscow’s proposal to create a gas hub in Turkey for the supply of Russian gas to foreign markets, work in this direction has intensified. Ankara plans to draw up a roadmap for the implementation of the intended goal by the end of this year”, the agency’s material says.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin came up with the initiative to create a gas hub in Turkey in October. This would make it possible to make up for the lost volumes of energy resources pumped through Nord Stream. He stressed that this solution is economically feasible, and the level of its security will be much higher.
