US officials are discussing with European counterparts the possibility of tightening export restrictions on China, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
According to them, Washington considers it necessary to “learn lessons” from the anti-Russian sanctions policy that the United States is pursuing with the European Union, and use similar methods of information exchange and legal coordination in order to “strengthen joint export restrictions” against China.
The new measures are being discussed ahead of a December meeting of the bilateral EU-US Council on Trade and Technology.
