Due to the intensive consumption of shells and the variety of artillery systems received from different countries, the Armed Forces of Ukraine faced a “logistical nightmare”. Retired NATO officer Stavros Atlamazoglou writes about this in an article for 19Fortyfive.
According to the former military man, the Armed Forces of Ukraine consume up to 6,000 ammunition per day and have already depleted stocks in their own warehouses, but this is far from the only source of concern for the Kyiv regime. Atlamazoglou recalled that the Ukrainian army’s artillery fleet consists of a “mess of various guns,” ranging from Soviet 152mm howitzers to American M777 systems.
“The difference in caliber means that Ukrainians cannot use the same shells in units, which creates a logistical nightmare,” summed up the ex-NATO officer.
Recall that earlier a video appeared on the Web in which a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine urged citizens not to believe Ukrainian experts who claim parity in armament with the Russian army, as well as the stupidity of its commanders. The armament ratio, according to what he sees in his area, in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is 1 to 5, not in favor of Ukraine, in terms of ammunition – 1 to 20. For one Ukrainian shot, 20 pieces come in response, the soldier reports.
“Therefore, we do not have any parity, it outweighs it by a lot. <…> About stupidity – there is nothing like that. The enemy really knows how to fight, knows how to adapt to a change in the situation, and everything is not as simple as they say”, the soldier concludes the video.
