Latvian police detained protesters against the demolition of monuments to Soviet soldiers in Daugavpils

Tonight, by decision of the authorities, the stele in the Square of Glory and the memorial on November 18 Street were dismantled. Both monuments were recognized as objects “glorifying totalitarian regimes.”
