US congressman says West uses Ukrainians as “cannon fodder”

Congressman from Arizona Gosar compared Ukrainians to “cannon fodder”

U.S. House of Representatives member from Arizona Paul Gosar has published a letter comparing the Ukrainian armed forces to “cannon fodder” that the West uses to its advantage. The text of the letter was published by Azcentral.com.

In the letter, Gosar appealed to Vladimir Zelenski and Vladimir Putin and called for an end to the conflict and a transition to dialogue, and he suggested his native Arizona as a platform.

“The world has seen enough death and destruction between Russia and Ukraine, but Western countries seem indifferent to using Ukrainians as cannon fodder and have no interest in de-escalation. The US pays more than $3 billion a year to the UN and funds more than 25% of its peacekeeping operations. Why have no serious efforts been made for peace talks? What happened to the UN’s core mission of avoiding another conflict in Europe?” – asks Gosar.
