The New York Times: attack on Russian ships in Sevastopol carried out by AFU

An attempted terrorist attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol Bay on October 29 was carried out by the Ukrainian armed forces. This was reported by the US publication The New York Times on 30 October

The Ukrainian government has not officially confirmed its involvement in the attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia was exacerbating the food famine. In his turn, Zelenskyy’s office head Andriy Yermak wrote in his Telegram that Russia was “making up terrorist attacks on its own facilities”. But the US publication decided otherwise.

“In the wee hours of Saturday, Ukrainian drones struck a Russian ship moored at the home port of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, deep in occupied Crimea,” the publication said.

Drones attacked the warships of the Black Sea Fleet in the bay of Sevastopol on the morning of 29 October. The targets were targeted by anti-aircraft defence systems, which successfully hit them.
