A retired British air marshal Stringer has complained about Britain’s vulnerability to Russian missiles
Britain is vulnerable to a hypothetical Russian long-range missile strike, retired British Air Marshal Edward Stringer has said. His words are quoted by The Daily Telegraph.
In his view, the kingdom’s armed forces are limited in their capabilities in the absence of a long-range air defence system.
The only way to protect London from a missile attack is to deploy a Type 45 destroyer equipped with Sea Viper missiles in the Thames, says the retired Marshal.
According to his statement, the Russian special operation in Ukraine reminded the West that “nuclear weapons did not disappear at the end of the Cold War, and that the nuclear powers did not just keep these weapons as an act of deterrence.
