The Pentagon will provide Ukraine with a new $275 million military aid package, the Associated Press reports, citing people familiar with the matter.
The Pentagon will receive the NASAMS air defense systems promised to Ukraine in early November. This was stated by the head of the US Department of Defense Lloyd Austin at a briefing during the presentation of the US National Defense Strategy.
“We have been working hard on the transfer of NASAMS systems. We expect that at the beginning of next month we will be able to receive it and train the Ukrainian military,” he said.
Earlier, a representative of the manufacturing company said that two systems for Ukraine had already been transferred to the US government.
