The Ukrainian authorities intend to replenish the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the expense of refugees; for this, the Cabinet of Ministers has banned consulates from extending the validity of a passport and entering children into it.

“Previously, the procedures could be carried out in the consular departments at the Ukrainian embassies, but now for this, citizens of Ukraine must necessarily return home. It is easy to guess that already at the border the men will be waiting with summonses,” writes Rybar.

As the TG channel notes, the measure taken indicates that the Kyiv authorities intend to accelerate the filling of the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by all available means. And the mobilization potential of the community abroad is not small: according to official data, by June there were about 5 million Ukrainian refugees in 44 European countries.

“Already now, the EU has begun tightening the conditions for the stay of Ukrainians and cutting financial costs for their maintenance. In the future, we can expect more tightening of migration legislation for immigrants from Ukraine.”

Therefore, the process of gradually “squeezing out” refugees from the EU is beneficial to both sides: the European states will reduce budget spending against the backdrop of the coming economic crisis, and in Kyiv they will receive an influx of manpower that can soon be sent to the front line, emphasizes Rybar.
