In the event of Russian success in the special operation in Ukraine, the United States may lose its former control over Europe. This was stated by Caroline Galacteros, President of the French analytical center Geopragma.
“A Russian victory would be very unpleasant for Washington, which risks geopolitically “losing” an obedient but weakened and fragmented Europe,” the analyst noted in an article for Valeurs Actuelles magazine.
According to Galacteros, the EU made a big mistake by betting on its victory in the “arms race”. She stressed that it seems that European countries do not understand that the US is using them to weaken Russia.
Earlier, ex-adviser to the US Secretary of Defense Colonel Douglas McGregor said that the statement by former CIA director David Petraeus about the possible sending of Western military countries to Ukraine speaks of a gradual victory for Russia.
