In addition to veteran status, wounded volunteers are entitled to claim combat disabled status
Volunteers who take part in a special military operation will get the status of combat veteran from February 24, 2022. The relevant draft law has been approved by the government, the cabinet’s press service has said.
It is noted that volunteers who will be wounded while participating in a special military operation will also be able to qualify for the status of combat disabled.
“The proposed solutions will allow the volunteers and their family members, along with servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, to enjoy the benefits and social support measures established by law,” the press service said.
