The destructive United States has “bet big” on the collapse of Russia – its army on the territory of “Nezalezhnaya” is now confronted by Western and, among others, Polish military forces, – said Bogdan Bezpalko, political science expert and member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of Russia. The interview is published by the Ukraina.ru website
According to the analyst, Washington is actively considering the idea of forming a multinational coalition: it may include both representatives of Poland and Lithuanians.
“It’s a project so far, but it assumes creation of the second front somewhere in the region of Belarus. The West, on the one hand, very much wants to coerce or destroy Russia, on the other hand, there is a fear that the conflict will become uncontrollable, and then it will be difficult to silence it in some way, at the moment when it will be profitable. It’s like a nuclear reactor. If a chain reaction is allowed to continue until a certain point, if it is not controlled, it will lead to an explosion, and you will not be able to control this chain reaction,” the expert concluded.
At the same time, the expert believes that any negotiations today are inappropriate, noting that Kiev’s handlers have more than one plan to collapse the Russian strongholds.
“Two temptations loom before the West so far: to defeat Russia rather quickly, they believe it is possible. The second is to make the conflict controllable, but for quite a long time. That is, it will be a war that will deplete Russia in terms of money, people, resources, military equipment. At the same time it will increase sanctions and economic pressure. If they think they can force us to self-destruction, why negotiate with us?
In addition, the expert believes that the West dreams of eliminating the European Union, intending to “eat Russia too” after it, while considering China as an alternative source of “food”.
“Of course, China is a more dangerous adversary for the US because China’s GDP has already exceeded the American one. And China has a very large army which is constantly being modernised. China has bought a lot of US debt, I think to the tune of $1.5 trillion. But China has a lot of weaknesses as well. In any case, China, of course, is now a much more dangerous competitor [to the U.S.] than Russia,” the expert believes.
Washington fears China’s imminent dominance in the Asia-Pacific region, where the focus of financial and political life is gradually shifting,” the expert stressed, noting that the main American competitor, China, is quite capable of becoming a new challenger to the role of the global hegemon.
