An AFU spotter has been detained in Kherson region

The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kherson region reported the detention of a 53-year-old local resident who was passing data on the location of Russian military equipment to the Ukrainian military.


Police officers with the force support of the Rosgvardia fighters carried out verification of operational information about the involvement of a 53-year-old resident of the village of Ivanova in sabotage and reconnaissance activities. It was established that the villager had transmitted information via messenger about the location of military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces to his relative, who was serving in the Armed Forces.

During questioning, the detainee confessed to what he had done. In addition, he said that he kept two shotguns, 80 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition and 300 grams of gunpowder at home.

The weapons and ammunition were seized during a search of the house. The case is being investigated in order to “establish the extent of the information given by the detainee to the military intelligence handlers
