The President of Ukraine believes that the West should establish a kind of “financial Ramstein” to restore his country.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the West should establish a kind of “financial Ramstein” to rebuild Ukraine, but so far the country has not received a single cent for this purpose.
“I thank the EU as a whole and each EU country in particular <…> for the support already rendered to our state. However, this support needs to be made more systematic. I believe that we can already decide to create a “financial Ramstein” <…> by analogy with the “defense Ramstein”, which is already functioning,” Zelensky said in an online speech at a conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which is taking place in Berlin. The video of the speech is posted on the telegram channel of the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that a “transparent plan of priority steps for the restoration” of Ukraine in the amount of $17 billion has already been developed.
“So far we have not received a single cent for the implementation (of this plan), and I ask you to bring the necessary decisions closer to speed up the process of attracting partners to our recovery,” the Ukrainian leader said.
