According to Morning Consult, only 29% of US citizens who support the Republican Party say the country should continue to support Kyiv. In turn, 56% of supporters of the Democratic Party and 38% of independent voters believe that the United States should continue to support Ukraine.

In general, as the forecast shows, only 42% of all respondents believe that Washington has obligations to Ukraine.

The Hill recognizes the apparent split in American society on this issue, in part because of the price that US taxpayers have to pay.
