Financial Times: Johnson plans to continue promoting Western support for Kyiv.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who did not put forward his candidacy for the role of the new prime minister, intends to continue promoting Western support for Ukraine, including promoting these ideas in the United States, the Financial Times reports, citing his allies.
“Johnson wants to use the position he created while he was in office (premier – ed.) as one of the main driving forces behind Western support for Ukraine in the conflict against Russia. They (Johnson’s allies – ed.) said that he planned to spend more time in Washington to promote ideas for cross-party support for Ukraine in the United States”, the newspaper says.
One of Johnson’s friends added that there is no official position for such purposes yet, but “Boris is very worried about the situation in Ukraine.”
