Sergeant of People’s Militia of DPR Shalygin said that the Ukrainian military beat the prisoners and threatened to kill them.
The prisoners of war endured beatings and death threats from the Ukrainian military, said Sergeant Aleksey Shalygin, who returned from Ukrainian captivity, RIA Novosti reports.
“Immediately they began (to beat) on the kidneys, on the legs, the face was already gone. In general, they kicked well, they broke psychologically mostly. They say we don’t need you… no one will change you, you are illiquid. You, most likely, will be over two hundred, no one will change you. They dripped on the brains”, he said.
According to him, while the fighters were waiting for the exchange, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were looking for information about their brother-soldiers who were captured by the Russian Armed Forces, and intended to exchange them. But then “not lucky,” said the sergeant.
