Croatian President Zoran Milanovic refused to participate in the Crimean Platform forum, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, and also said that he did not intend to meet with Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives. This is reported by Vecernji list newspaper.
“The Americans asked for a meeting, I can’t make it today. It is not an executive power,” the Croatian president said, adding that in two weeks, “everything will change” in the world.
Milanovic noted that he could consider meeting with the US representative, but at a higher level.
“The American embassy requested [a meeting], but it was too late. If the US Secretary of State had arrived, I would probably have stayed in Zagreb, but under the circumstances, no,” the head of state concluded.
