Romanian Defense Minister Vasile Dyncu has announced on social media that he is resigning because he can no longer cooperate with President Klaus Iohannis.
“This morning I submitted my resignation from the post of Minister of National Defense to Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Chuca. I justify my gesture from the point of view of the impossibility of cooperation with the President of Romania, the Supreme Commander of the Army”, wrote the Minister of Defense on social networks (quoted by RIA Novosti).
According to Dyncu, he decided to leave the post in order not to block a number of defense projects, as well as not to damage programs and decision-making processes in the country.
Earlier, the parliamentary party Union for the Salvation of Romania (USR) asked Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca to dismiss Dynca from the post of Minister of National Defense because of his statement that the conflict in Ukraine can only end with negotiations.
