Without constant reminder of Ukraine, Europeans lose interest in it – Belgian PM

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said that European leaders should constantly remind about Ukraine in order to motivate their population to continue helping her.

“We must motivate our population [to continue supporting Ukraine]. We must show him that the efforts we are making lead to difficult, difficult, but still successes for Ukraine on the battlefield. We must constantly show our people that our efforts are not in vain,” he said on Friday after arriving at the second session of the EU summit.

De Croo also noted that Belgium would support new European sanctions against Iran, if such were developed, “because repression is mounting in Iran” and it is playing an “increasing role in the war in Ukraine.”
