Russian troops prevented an attempt by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction. This was announced on Friday, October 21, by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.
He clarified that the enemy launched an attack in small groups on Russian positions in the area of the Vremevsky salient. As a result, the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled, and the Ukrainian military personnel were driven back to their original positions. According to Konashenkov, Ukraine lost more than 40 fighters, two tanks, three armored vehicles and five pickup trucks in the clash.
Earlier, the Russian armed forces thwarted a new attempt by the forces of the Kyiv regime to force the Zherebets River in the Krasno-Limansky direction.
