Russian Aerospace Forces strike at “militants” at CSTO exercises in Tajikistan

The Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, relocated to Tajikistan from Kyrgyzstan, practiced launching missile strikes on an impromptu vanguard of militants at the Rubezh-2022 exercise of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR). “A link of Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Federation, at an extremely low altitude of 200 meters, performed a combat turn and, from a dive, struck with unguided aircraft missiles NAR-S-24 on columns of militant equipment. Reconnaissance of the targets was provided by L-39 reconnaissance aircraft of the Air Force of the Republic of Tajikistan,” the report says.

The press center said that the practical part of the exercises took place at the Harbmaydon training ground in southern Tajikistan. The military contingents of the member states of the Central Asian region, operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat take part in the maneuvers. The main part of the Russian contingent was made up of servicemen from the 201st military base of the Central Military District. The total number of participants in the exercises is about 1 thousand people and over 300 units of military and special equipment.
