Iran urged its citizens to leave Ukraine

Iranian authorities have called on its citizens to refrain from travelling to Ukraine and those there to leave it for security reasons. This was reported by the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Friday

“Due to the growing instability in Ukraine, we [Iranian authorities] urge all Iranian citizens to refrain from travelling to this country,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s consular department said in a statement (quoted by Mehr News Agency).

In addition, the foreign ministry advised Iranian citizens living in Ukraine “to leave this country in order to preserve their safety. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also urged Iranians in Ukraine to “keep calm” and contact the Iranian Embassy in Kiev if necessary.
