With the assistance of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, JSC Moldovagaz transferred $53.5 million to PJSC Gazprom for the September deliveries of natural gas.
The company also transferred $27.4 million to the supplier as an advance payment in the amount of 50% of the total payment for deliveries in October.
Earlier, Gazprom stated that it reserves the right to a complete cessation of supplies in case of violation of obligations to pay for gas until October 20. The Russian company pointed out that Moldovagaz this year “regularly” violated the terms of the contract on the payment deadline for the supplied gas and turned to Moscow with a request to soften contractual obligations.
