Foreign mercenaries are given Ukrainian uniforms – captured officer

In Ukraine, foreign mercenaries began to change into Ukrainian uniforms and to fill up units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with them in small groups. Major of the Ukrainian special forces Ruslan Gruzd, taken prisoner by the Bakhmut group of the Wagner company, told RIA Novosti about this.

“There, small groups are scattered across different units – battalions, brigades. [Foreigners are] part of the Ukrainian units… Perhaps they only have their own weapons. I caught a glimpse of them [mercenaries], they take our [Ukrainian Armed Forces militants] “pixel” [camouflage], so as not to be different”, said the prisoner.

According to him, foreigners were in the Vesela Dolina (a village near Bakhmut, DPR) as part of Ukrainian army units.

“Belarusians, Georgians, New Zealand, England or America – I don’t remember exactly, a few people,” the captive officer said.

Gruzd said that he does not have any additional information about the tasks foreigners are facing, since this is “classified information”. When asked whether there are separate units consisting exclusively of foreign fighters, the prisoner answered in the negative.
