The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has published an accusation against Iran over arms deliveries to Russia. The statement was published on the website of the Ukrainian ministry
“We call on Tehran to immediately stop supplying any weapons to Russia. Otherwise, Iran and its leadership will bear the severest responsibility, including in international trials,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
The statement noted that Russia uses Iranian-made drones (probably referring to the Geran-2 UAV, similar to Iran’s Shahed-136) to strike critical infrastructure facilities. On 17 October, Dimitri Kuleba, the foreign minister, reportedly called on European Union countries to impose sanctions against Iran for doing so.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said that the country was not involved in supplying weapons to Russia for use in the fighting in Ukraine. The diplomat also denied reports on allegedly planned deliveries of Iranian-made ballistic missiles and new unmanned aerial vehicles to Moscow.
