Ukraine to officially ask Israel to hand over air defence systems

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced an appeal to Israel to provide Kiev with air defense systems

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced that Ukraine will officially ask Israel to provide Kiev with air defence systems.

“Yesterday I asked EU countries to provide Ukraine with air defence systems. This topic is constantly raised by the President of Ukraine, the Minister of Defence in the framework of the Ramstein format. We are also appealing to the US and we are all actively working on this topic. One more piece of news on this issue. Today Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide Ukraine with air defence systems and start qualitative cooperation to obtain the relevant technology for Ukraine,” he said during an online briefing.

Earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the G7 summit, asked for help in creating an “air shield” for Ukraine and providing Kiev with a sufficient number of modern and effective air defence systems.
