UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has flown urgently to the US to discuss “the security situation in Ukraine, including the threat of nuclear attack”. This was reported by journalists of the Evening Standard newspaper
British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has cancelled a speech to the Select Committee on Defence and flew to the United States. High-level meetings are scheduled in the United States, including at the White House and the Pentagon, British journalists reported citing a source in the country’s defence ministry.
Wallace will meet with US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin for “conversations that are really incredible because we are at a time when such conversations are necessary”, said James Hippy, the United Kingdom’s junior minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans’ Affairs.
