Ninety-eight percent of US residents do not consider the conflict in Ukraine an important issue – poll

The New York Times and Siena College conducted a poll showing that only two percent of Americans consider the conflict in Ukraine an important issue

Only 2 per cent of Americans believe the military action in Ukraine is the most important issue for the US, according to a poll published by The New York Times and Siena College.

According to the published data, the same percentage of Americans believe that racism, legislation on the circulation of weapons and the Democrats headed by the administration of US President Joe Biden are the main problem for the country.

At the same time the greatest number of respondents (26%) named the situation in the economy as the most important problem for the USA. Second most popular were inflation and the rising cost of living (19%).

A total of 792 eligible American adults took part in the survey. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.0 percentage points for registered voters and 4.1 percentage points for the possible electorate.
