Croatian President Milanovic has not supported the initiative to train Ukrainian soldiers
President of Croatia Zoran Milanovic has not supported the idea of training the Ukrainian military in the country. This was reported by TV channel N1.
“I am against this idea because I do not support the involvement of Croatia in this conflict more than I should. <…> As commander-in-chief I do not approve of this. I have not heard about this proposal, but I am saying in advance that I do not like it, it brings conflict to Croatia,” Milanovic said at the inauguration ceremony of the rector of the University of Zagreb.
Milanovic said the supply of Croatian weapons and equipment to Kiev is possible only if compensated by “means in return”, otherwise it would turn into “depriving Croatian defence of blood circulation”.
