Commander of Ukrainian brigade arrested in absentia for shelling people in Donetsk

The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the commander of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian troops, Vyacheslav Kotlik, for shelling the civilian population and looting property in the Donbass.


This was reported to RIA Novosti by the press secretary of the court Ekaterina Buravtsova.

“By the decision of the Basmanny District Court of the City of Moscow, Kotlik V.Yu., accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Use of Prohibited Means and Methods of Warfare”), a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention for two months from the moment of his detention on the territory of the Russian Federation or extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation”, the agency’s interlocutor said.

Kotlik said it is put on the international wanted list. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
