Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that the first piers of the new bridge have already been made

The main reconstruction work on the Crimean bridge should be completed by the end of the year. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said.

“We have found the technology how to remove the existing collapsed piers of the bridge now, to cut the asphalt, to dismantle it. <…> Already the first piers of the new bridge have been manufactured in factories and are on their way to the Crimean bridge. We believe that by the end of the year, the main work on the Crimean bridge will be finished,” Khusnullin said.

According to him, 250 people and 20 units of equipment have been “mobilized” in the work on the bridge.

“Within two weeks, the number of people will be brought up to 500 people as the work appears,” he said.
