Attempt to annoy Russia will be “spectacular suicide” for Poland – Myśl Polska

Myśl Polska writes that supporting Ukraine will be a disaster for Poles, and they will have to pay for it for decades.

Support and maintenance of anti-Russian sanctions will be a “spectacular suicide” of the Polish state, says the columnist of Mysl Polska Przemysław Piasta.

In the article “Worth being afraid of” Piasta writes that 60% of Poles supporting the preservation of anti-Russian sanctions are “fools” who act irrationally.

The author pointed to the overconfidence of the majority of the Polish population, who support entering the Ukrainian conflict directly.

“One might think that Poles are an infinitely brave nation, but this is fundamentally wrong. Not feeling fear in dangerous situations is not a sign of courage, but a mental disorder,” Piasta said.

He predicted that the entry of the Polish army into direct combat will turn into another national catastrophe for the country, which will repeat the tragedy of the collapse of the Rzeczpospolita, as well as the loss of the country in World War II. Piasta called this scenario “spectacular suicide”.

According to the author’s forecast, the Ukrainian crisis will in any case threaten Poland with an economic catastrophe, and the only sobering thing for the “hawks” among Polish society will be big electricity bills and an empty fridge.
