America does not seek conflict or a new cold war, and does not want competition between countries to escalate into the formation of “hard blocs,” according to the National Security Strategy, published by the White House today, October 12.
“We want to avoid competition leading to the division of the world into rigid blocks. We do not want conflict or a new Cold War,” the document says.
The authors of the project assure that “on the contrary, we are trying to support any country, regardless of its size or strength, in its search for freedom of choice, which is in the interests of all.”
