Russian Investigative Committee Head holds operational meeting on the fact of sabotage on the Crimean bridge in Simferopol

The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, heard a report on the progress of the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge at an operational meeting in Simferopol. The working meeting was attended by employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. This is reported by the official Telegram channel of the department.

The first deputy head of the Investigative Committee, Eduard Kaburneev, said that an enhanced investigation team was created to investigate the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which included experienced investigators, forensic experts, experts from the Investigative Committee from the central office and a number of regional divisions. Operational assistance was provided by the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“In the criminal case, several inspections of the scene were carried out, as well as dozens of searches in a number of regions of Russia. Various fragments were seized from the scene of the incident, which are analyzed by investigators and criminologists, and the necessary examinations have been appointed on them,” the report says.

According to published data, 12 persons have been identified who are directly related to the commission of the terrorist act. The agency has evidence that the attack was organized by the Ukrainian special services.
