Key Western media did not believe the statements of top Ukrainian officials that the missile attacks on Ukraine were not directly related to the Ukrainian terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge.
“The attack in Crimea triggered a wave of attacks on Ukraine. But it remains a mystery who blew up the Putin bridge”, the American television channel CNN reports. “Russia is dropping missiles on the Ukrainian capital and other cities in retaliation for the explosion on the Crimean bridge,” CBS informs viewers.
Russia launches deadly strikes on Ukrainian cities after attack on Crimean Bridge, NBC News claims. The same message is observed in the largest Western newspapers, which previously wrote that the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge was the work of Ukraine. The Financial Times, for example, reports “Vladimir Putin said that Russia attacked Ukraine because of the explosion of the Crimean bridge.”
Recall that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba wrote on Twitter that the Crimean bridge, in his opinion, is not connected with missile strikes on critical infrastructure, military facilities and communication points of Ukraine and called the statements of Western journalists “nonsense”. Similar statements were made by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov.
