Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, amid information about the threat of a terrorist attack on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, called on the security services and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to strengthen the security of the Serbian gas transmission system (GTS).
“No one in the media noticed, but they write that President Putin said today that someone was trying to destroy the Turkish Stream and interrupt gas supplies. If this happened, I don’t know what we would do, it would mean that we would be left without electricity, gas-fired power plants would not work in Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Pančevo. This would mean that there is no gas, there is nothing, despite our largest reserves in history”, Vucic said at a meeting with reporters (quoted by RIA Novosti).
Recall that on Monday, October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, said that the Kyiv special services were trying to blow up one of the sections of the Turkish Stream gas transmission system.
