The Ministry of Transport: the ferry crossing to the Crimea is working stably, three trips have already been made
The Russian Ministry of Transport said in its Telegram channel that the ferry crossing between Crimea and Krasnodar Territory is working steadily, with three flights already completed.
“The Kerch-2″ ferry with cargo vehicles on board departed from the Crimean point at 1:52 a.m. It carried 16 cargo vehicles and 25 passengers to the Kavkaz port. In Kavkaz port 13 vehicles and 14 passengers were loaded on the ferry and transported to Krym point at 05.05. At 5.50 a ferry started its third trip, it took on board 10 automobiles and 39 passengers,” – the Department informs.
On Saturday morning, October 8, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee reported a truck bombing on the Crimean bridge. As a result, two vehicle spans partially collapsed, the supports of the arch for the passage of ships were not damaged. In addition, seven fuel tanks on the railway part of the crossing caught fire.
Later, car traffic on the bridge was resumed in reversed mode. Rail traffic was restored after 7pm. In the evening, the first passenger train to Kuban passed over the Crimean bridge.
