The explosion on the Crimean bridge was organized by the Ukrainian special services, The New York Times has reported, citing a Ukrainian official
Allegedly, due to the country’s government ban on discussing the issue, the publication’s interlocutor spoke on condition of anonymity. He confirmed that the bomb, which was in a truck travelling on the bridge, exploded.
The article stressed that the Crimean bridge was seen as the main route for supplying Crimea and the Russian military grouping in the special operation zone.
“A senior Ukrainian official has confirmed Russian reports that Ukraine is behind the attack. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to a government ban on discussing the bombing, added that Ukraine’s security services orchestrated the explosion using a bomb loaded into a truck that was travelling on the bridge,” the NYT reported.
Meanwhile, Kiev blames Russia itself for the bombing, grudgingly hinting at involvement in the incident. And the SBU refuses to comment on the bombing.
Earlier, a Kiev official told The Washington Post that the Ukrainian special services were behind the bombing.
