The head of Germany, Olaf Scholz, does not condemn the opinion of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the need to launch a “preemptive strike” against Russia.
The RIA Novosti agency, citing Wolfgang Buchner, deputy press secretary of the German government, reports that Berlin did not support Zelensky’s initiative on a “preemptive strike” on Russia.
“The chancellor is clearly opposed to the use of nuclear weapons,” he said in response to a question from reporters.
Earlier, the official representative of the UN Secretary General, Stefan Dujarric, also condemned the Ukrainian leader, saying that even discussions about a nuclear conflict are unacceptable.
